If you are eligible for Austudy/Youth Allowance, you can continue to receive
Centrelink payments whilst you are on overseas exchange.
Once you have been accepted
into the Exchange Program, the Study Abroad and Exchange Unit will provide
you with a letter for Centrelink which states that:
- You will remain enrolled with QUT for the duration of your course;
- You will be undertaking the equivalent of a full-time workload overseas;
- You will have your studies credited towards your Australian course on successful
completion of your overseas studies; and
- The overseas study is approved by QUT.
