Costs and Scholarships |

|
As a general rule, you will need to demonstrate that you have AUD $1,300 available
to you for every month that you will be on exchange. However, some US institutions
may require proof of funds of as much as AUD$2,000 per month. To research the cost of your exchange, consult the profiles of our partner institutions. Other good sources of information are resources available from QUT International, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website, host country consular websites and, perhaps most practically, former exchange students to the same destination. Costs include: room and board, books and supplies, health and travel insurance, and personal travel expenses. It is important to realise that you cannot rely on finding part-time work while you are overseas to fund your exchange. Most countries have strict limitations on work entitlements for visiting students. Scholarships and Bursaries are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students participating in the Student Exchange Program. Follow the links for information the QUT exchange scholarships:
QUT students are e-mailed an updated list of available scholarships at the start of each semester. To apply for a scholarship, you should complete the Scholarship Application Form and submit with your Application for Student Exchange Program (E FORM). Bursary recipients will be expected to participate in promotional activities for the Student Exchange Information Seminar. |
