Here is a step-by-step guide to participating in an outgoing student exchange program from QUT:

  1. Read thoroughly the Outbound Exchange webpages.
  2. Check on application deadlines.
  3. Research your destination: consult the university profiles from our list of partner institutions and reference material at QUT International.
  4. Consider the financial implications of your exchange.
  5. Contact the Exchanges Officer to discuss your options based on your research to date.
  6. Arrange to meet with your Course Coordinator or nominee. You must take descriptions of units you plan to study overseas to this meeting.
  7. Complete the QUT Application for Student Exchange Program (E Form). Your Course Coordinator must sign off on your intended study program.
  8. Attach the following documents to the completed form:
  • A printout of your academic history from QUT Virtual
  • 1 x Passport photo
  • A proposal of 800-1000 words outlining why you want to participate in the Program
  • 2 x academic references (please use AR Form)
  • Completed course coordinator approval form
  • Scholarship application forms, if applicable.
  1. Make a copy of your entire exchange application for yourself.
  2. Submit the forms and supporting documents to the QUT International by the appropriate deadline.
  3. The Exchanges Officer will contact you to arrange an interview.
  4. You will be informed whether you will be nominated to your preferred university approximately three weeks after your interview.
