Study Abroad and Exchange Unit (STAE)
STAE is the homebase for study abroad and exchange students. As an exchange student,
it is your first point of contact for admissions, enrolment, and general enquiries. International Student Services
International Student Services (ISS) staff assist international students with
accommodation and English language tuition, as well as learning skills, financial
and personal counselling. These services are completely confidential. Services available also include pre-departure briefings, airport reception,
orientation programs, promotion of social and cultural activities, language
exchange program, help in understanding Australian customs, liaison with academic
and administrative staff, an international students electronic newsletter, support
for international students associations, an international women's group, and
preparation for returning home. Student Services QUT provides a variety of student support and information services. The Student
Services Guide is available to download or view
online. The Student Guild
The QUT Student Guild exists to represent the interests of students within QUT
and wider community. An International Student Department is a special section
within the Student Guild. Some of the services they provide are:
The QUT Student Guild operates nearly all of the commercial businesses across the QUT campuses. These include the Guild Bars and Degrees Cafe, the Guild (Campus) Shops, the Childcare Centres, the Guild Aquatic & Squash Centre, the Guild Newsagency and Post Office, and the Guild Fitness Centres.
